In collaboration with Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), the Centre for China–Africa Discourse Studies (CECADS) hosted a two-day international conference themed “Building Bridges for Advancing the SDGs: Enhancing Inter-University Scientific Collaboration Between Africa and China.”

The event brought together academic leaders, researchers, and policymakers from both regions to explore innovative ways to strengthen educational partnerships, foster joint research, and promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through science and innovation.

With insightful keynote sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, the conference provided a unique platform for universities to collaborate on shared challenges and opportunities shaping the future of Africa–China academic relations.
