Leveraging the momentum of BRICS expansion and deepening China-Africa economic ties, the Imo State Government of Nigeria has positioned itself as the premier West African hub for Chinese industrial transfer and agricultural supply chain security.
At the opening of the “Big Market for All: Export to China Zhe Li Buys Global & Consumption Launches in Hangzhou”expo, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM)and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, Queen Ada Modestus, Director of CECADS and Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on International Investment and Sino-Imo Relations, delivered a targeted investment prospectus.
The presentation, centered on “Imo: The Heart of Eastern Nigeria’s Commercial Corridor,”was designed to align with China’s “Dual Circulation” strategy, offering Chinese enterprises a secure, infrastructure-ready base for accessing the 400-million-strong ECOWAS market. The zone already hosts anchor tenants including Elsewedy Group, Seplat Energy, Sahara Energy, Renaissance, Oando Energy, and Waltersmith Petroleum.
